Alumeed Rehabilitation Association ( AURA ) for Cerebral Palsy, is a non- profit making NGO, running first of it’s kind Day Centre for Treatment & Rehabilitation of Brain Injured Children / Adolescents suffering from Cerebral Palsy, since 1989.
The purpose built building on an Amenity Plot in Gulistan e Johar Karachi has been offering services made available in Pakistan for the first time since the year 2000 and cater to the Middle & Low-Middle Income families with the Aim of improving the Quality of life of the Child challenged with Physical / Mental Impairment, thereby making the day to day existence of the Parents / Family (specially Mothers) bearable.
AURA has been relying totally on the Benevolence of God fearing people here and abroad for their Help in the form of Donation and Zakat. This gesture has made it possible for us to have moved from a two roomed rented premises, catering to 10 children, to the present Purpose built Complex, catering to 114 children / Adolescents with the Aim of going upto 200 Inshallah.
Having completed the construction of First Floor, we are planning to extend the services to Children who have been on the Waiting list for the past many months. Our Aim is also to offer Training / Treatment to children from the Interior of Sindh and other Provinces if found conducive.

• Child Sponsorship Scheme-Adopt a child by paying the Rehabilitation Expenses at Rs 6000 per month or Rs 72000 Annually.
• A Therapist’s Salary at Rs 10,000 per month ( 17 Therapists)
• A Junior Therapist’s Salary at Rs 5000 per month ( 4 Jr. Therapists )
• A Special Education Teacher’s Salary at Rs 8500 per month ( 27 Teachers )
• A Teacher’s Aide’s Salary at Rs 4500 per month ( 12 Aides )
• A Driver’s Salary at Rs 7000 per month (Seven Vans for door to door Pick & Drop fitted with Belts & Harnesses)
• An Attendant’s Salary at Rs 4000 per month (14 male/female)
• In MEMORY of your Loved One—PLAQUE on the rooms on First Floor, contribute towards the expense of Rs5,50000 per room with attached Wash rooms

Dear Sir / Madam,
By the Grace of Almighty Allah and through the help extended by your esteemed Organization over the past many years, AlUmeed Rehabilitation Association(AURA),
has been providing State of Art Rehabilitation Services for the Wheel Chair bound Children / Adolescents, suffering from Cerebral Palsy since 1989.
Initially, only the Ground Floor of the complex was built on the Amenity plot in Gulistan e Johar and the services (including Special Education) are being provided to upto 114 ‘Special People’ since January 2000.This had to be done in Two Shifts as there was no space to accommodate more. Besides, the standard of ‘Quality’ had to be maintained.
With the ever increasing number of such Children / Adolescents on the Waiting List and three years of Fund Raising Campaign, the First Floor and the Basement Area of the Complex has been built. We are now ready to expand our Services, including a Sheltered Workshop as part of the Vocational Program. A Residential / Training service for children from out of city, might also be started in future if found conducive.
To achieve these Goals and to maintain the Services, we are once more looking
towards the Benevolence and Largesse of your Organization. Please find enclosed the
letter indicating the Categories requiring your Assistance & Help. Donations are Tax-
Exempt in Pakistan vide U/S 2 (36) (C) of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
