14th August 2008,
Pakistan 62nd Independence Day was
celebrated. Children performed tableaus on three different songs,
participated in quiz program and different interesting games. They
also sang national songs with the teachers & enjoyed by clapping.
Goody bags were distributed at the end of the day.

17th October 2008,
Eid milan party, Children enjoyed this day by
performing Eid day morning tableau, applied mehndi on girls hands who
wore color full bangles as well, boys wore wrist band made by our
senior board member & vocational program in charge Mrs Serene Moraj.
Children also watched magic and puppet shows which were enjoyed by
adult as well.

7th November 2008,
Universal Fruit Day, Introduced seasonal
fruits to children and also engaged them in making fruit chat.

20th November 2008,
Universal Children Day, Children celebrated
this day by going for of picnic to P.A.F. Museum Karachi. Where they
played cricket, wandered inside the museum and park area & enjoyed
different types of food.

3rd December 2008,
Day of the Disabled. Due to violent situation
in Karachi we could not celebrate on this date, but was celebrated on
19th December 2008 instead. Our children performed tableaus,
participated in Quiz program and enjoyed by playing differents games.

23rd December 2008,
Children were invited to attend the
9th National Paediatric conference at college of Physicians and
Surgeons in D.H.A.and performed one tableau.

11th February 2009,
Human Resource department of Karachi American
School invited Principal of AURA along with children of grade VII
(Star gazers), as a part of their community based awareness program.
Mrs Shabna Nasar gave the power point presentation about
the services being offered at AURA.

23rd February 2009,
Fifteen of our children went to Nishat Cinema
to watch the movie GOLL MALL, organized by City government .Children
enjoyed a lot; it was a first experience for them to see cinema
premises and big screen.

28th February 2009,
Mrs Moraj our senior member arranged
a trip to “Flower exhibition” in Bin Qasim Park Clifton.Children
enjoyed every corner of park and watched the flower arrangements and
the beauty of nature.

4th March 2009,
Children participated in Fancy dress show in
Jashne Baharan Function, arranged by Education Foundation in
collaboration with CDGK.

19th March 2009,
Mary A.Rik Florijn of Family Education
Services Foundation invited our children to attend the tenth
“Children benefit Concert” Hadiqa Kayani was the main singer of this
concert. Children participated and enjoyed the live performance.

23rd March 2009,
AURA children always celebrate this day with
patriotism and enthusiasm .This time we celebrated Eid Milad- un
-Nabi on this occasion and prayed for stability of our beloved
country. Mrs Sabiha Qadri,Mrs Shireen Rizvi and Mrs Rehana were the
anchor persons of this event.

5th April 2009,
Marvelous Fund raising mela, was arranged at
Nisar Shaheed Park DHA at Sindbad, in collaboration with AGHAZ. All
the children enjoyed as they were being given the celebrity status
and being looked after by the volunteers from professional colleges
and universities.

22nd April 2009,
was the Earth day, Importance of this day, was
demonstrated to children by showing them as how to have a clean
environment, How to make earth green. In keeping with these day,
children planted new plants to refresh our environment. They also
made posters of plants and trees.

24th April 2009,
Our children participated in Zonal Special
Olympic Games at
Safari Park. They won gold and bronze medal in different games like
wheel chair race, assisted walk and independent walking race.

30th May 2009,
Annual Function was held in A.P.H.A. lawn,
Mrs Muneezah Habib and her teams of AGHAZ were the chief guests of
this remarkable function. Good compeering and children performance in
tableaus left positive impact of this evening, Staff worked very hard
for presentation of each event. Over all this function was successful
due to good presentations and arrangement.

Theme Days
are arranged every Friday according to mental
level of our children. Various activities on different themes are
performed in academic and pre-academic session.

Weekly Field trips
are on going events. In the last year children have been taken to Quaid-e-Azam’s Mazar, the Maritime Museum, the PAF Museum, the Zoo, Safari park, Hill Park. Trips were also arranged to Macdonald’s, KFC and Pizza hut and Makro,Banks and Tariq road for shopping, Sea side, K.P.T. and Natyjaty bridge etc.
